Aled Harries - Saer Coed / CarpenterI left school at sixteen and started an apprenticeship to become a carpenter. After completing my apprenticeship I was employed as a carpenter for two years but was laid off last year. I had always wanted to be self-employed but was not in the financial position to set myself up in business. I then heard about the Steps to Enterprise project at The Coach House. I made an appointment to see Angharad and I was given excellent practical advice and also learnt that I might be eligible for financial help. Without this help I would not have been able to get started. Since becoming self-employed I have been fortunate to get work sub-contracting for a local building contractor Liam Siggins. I have also started to buld up my customer base and I am keen to grow my business therefore if you need a quote please get in touch.
