Facilities

Conference/Meeting Room:

The Coach House is the perfect venue for meetings and/or small conferences. We are able to host up to 20 delegates in our well equipped conference facility. There is full disabled access to all the facilities at The Coach House. The designated room has broadband access and a range of top quality ICT equipment. These include:

  • A Whiteboard for innovative delivery of seminars, lectures, films or visual displays.
  • 10 desktop computers with the latest software applications for educational and/or research purposes.
  • A professional quality digital High Definition camcorder
  • MAC notebook and software applications
  • Laser printer and copier

A full delegate support package includes the provision of pencils and jotters, flipcharts and marker pens .Bottled water and mints will also be provided. Any additional service required will be available upon request when booking.

The Coach House has a high quality café that produces top quality meals and snacks using local ingredients. A range of catered options tailored to your budget are available if required. The following options are available for delegates:

  • Tea and coffee
  • Homemade soup of the day and crusty roll
  • A cheeseboard of local cheeses and chutneys with biscuits
  • Filled Baguettes or Paninis
  • Bara Brith/Scones/Welsh cakes

The pressured world of business has led to a trend for businesses to convene in locations other than their everyday place of work. The Coach House is an ideal venue for small businesses and organisations to have an “ awayday”. Delegates can relax during their breaks by enjoying the wonderful ambience and scenery at St. Dogmaels Abbey, enjoy the beautiful exhibition of Pre- Christian Stones and Medieval stonemasonry or simply just stroll passed the tranquil millpond to recharge their batteries.

Disabled access

The Coach House has full disabled access to all areas of the building and a ramp up onto the abbey site itself. There are disabled toilets, a lift onto the first floor lifelong learning centre/conference room/loop technology for the hearing impaired and audio guides for the hearing impaired. In addition staff and volunteers are always around to give assistance wherever possible.

Parking

There is disabled parking space directly outside the building from where access to the Coach House and the mill pond is achieved. There is further off-road parking adjacent to the building and a large village car park within 200 yards.

Audio guides

Audio-guides are available on request in both English and Welsh and take visitors on a detailed tour of the site of the ruined abbey and into the stones and artefacts within the permanent exhibition. A small fee is required to cover production costs.

Toilets/baby changing

Toilets are available on the ground floor and facilities are in place for the disabled and for baby changing. If you require help then please feel free to ask some of the staff or volunteers for assistance.

Café

The Coach House cafe has an ambience that reflects the tranquillity of the abbey site. Customers can enjoy the simple but delicious food. The menu has been devised with a certain number of central guiding principle.
